Keyhole surgery is becoming more common for many procedures with advances in technology. It often involves a few small cuts (~1-2cm). This allows gas to be pumped into your abdomen. This enables the surgeon to insert a camera and instruments to do the operation. Not all operations are suitable for the keyhole technique.
